Three years ago we purchased Accubid Enterprise with a goal of going live in a year. Well it took longer that we had anticipated. The database and takeoff assemblys needed extensive modification due to the type of work Atlantic Electric performs. The estimators work space had to be totally redesigned for “On Screen” takeoff coupled with the Accubid Enterprise program interface. The Accubid Enterprise program allows us to work multiple estimators simultaneously on the same estimate. This allows Atlantic Electric to reduce the overall time required to produce a estimate. This is very important in todays construction market. Today Atlantic Electric has a dedicated four person estimating staff with back up estimating support from seven project managers and engineers.
