Home-Porting National Security Cutters (NSC), Coast Guard Facility Sector Charleston, Charleston, SC

September 2013 to July 2014, Subcontract Amount $2 Million+

This is a Design-build project to construct and renovate facilities required for home-porting the new National Security Cutters (NSC) at US Coast Guard Facility Sector Charleston, Charleston, SC.

 Atlantic Electric’s subcontract on Pier Papa includes installation of 10,000 LF of Fiber Optic Cable. The data cable was installed in under pier in ballistic fiberglass conduit and included special military connectors to connect the data cabling to the NSC.

Very few companies have the in-house expertise in install under pier conduits, fiber optic cable, and complex termination. This project demonstrates the wide diversity of skills and expertise that Atlantic Electric can provide.

P-472 Airfield Security Upgrades, MCAS Beaufort, SC

August 2013 to December 2015, Subcontract Amount $5 Million+

The construction project is for airfield security upgrades to the flight lines to meet Level II restricted area requirements and to comply with Joint Air Force Army Navy (JFAN6/9) physical security standards for special access program facilities.  The fiber optic cable work is to provide and install 50,000 LF of Fiber optic cable and terminations thru ductbank systems and manholes for security upgrades on MCASC Beaufort
