At Fort Belvoir’s Davison Army Airfield we came up with a solution that meets UFC requirements to install helipad lights at an existing concrete helipad. We used elastomeric concrete at the light cans and FAA P-606 epoxy in the saw kerf (wire trench) to seal it. We now move on to Phase 2 where we will shut down the runway for a complete replacement of all lighting systems. Great job Belvoir crew!
